Men's dress shirts, not just for men anymore!

Watch this video! I have to wonder when the frame goes blurry if they are hiding something... like how they are failing at the overall idea - but I won't judge. Now, I just need to find a shirt big enough to fit around my rib cage.

saw this on babble!

Back from the beach!

Hello! Jeff and I ran over to Daulphin Island with my parents for a few days last week and had a blast! The beach house my parents rented was dog friendly so Hank got his first taste of the beach! It was really relaxing and good to spend time with family!

Scout, my parents dog

Lots of fun things are happening now!
So my friend Julie is having her baby on Friday if Allie doesn't decide to come before! My friend Lindsey got engaged this past week which makes me muy excitado! She is marrying a real cutie and I cant wait till her festivities start!

As for the working front, I have been talking to this lady that I am obsessed with and I am so nervous about getting a job with her. She is on her honeymoon and I am going to meet with her next week. That could mean I could be working by next week, fingers crossed! I know I am a bit old for this but I still believe in jinxes so that is all I can say about it for now. Hopefully next week I will be able to talk about it till I am blue in the face.

So I have been on a reading hiatus lately (gossip girl problems) and I just finished reading Sarah's Key thanks to Lara for helping me to start reading again! It is really great and I flew through it. It's very deep and gut wrenching but an important part of history.

That is about all I have to share today. I'll have more after I spend some time at the local Houston Ikea.

Polyvore - Grown up's place for make believe!

Polyvore is my new obsession. I can sit on there for hours and play around! Have you tried Polyvore. Here is the gist:

You get a blank canvas and then to the right they have a list of things, such as, tops, shoes accessories etc and then you can also just enter the item you are looking for into search. Then you drag it over, size it and add text etc if you would like and tada! you have an outfit or a room or whatever you want! it is SO MUCH FUN! like grown up paper dolls or grown up doll house.

Updating an old bookshelf

I went shopping yesterday and ran into Anthropologie. Well, they had the wallpaper I love for 50% off!!! I grabbed it as fast as I could and ran home to figure out what I could wallpaper. I think it is going to turn out to be everything cause there is a lot of paper in this roll!

Here is my first project! It was really quick and easy but i think it really helped the bookshelf I was going to get rid of this week.

Bookshelf - Target from a couple of years ago
wallpaper - anthropologie
spray adhesive - 3m Super 77

I took pictures of the whole process. It cost about 10 for the 3M adhesive. Then the wallpaper was $50 dollars. The rest I had laying around.

I unscrewed the back of the shelves so I could add the wallpaper in two parts

I measured the boards to cut the wallpaper to size

I made sure to label the wallpaper when cutting everything to make sure the pattern was flowing the correct direction.

To make sure there were no bubbles I laid the wallpaper in sections. (It also helped for keeping it straight. The glue is like spray paint and dries really quick.

I then trimmed the edges off and screwed the panels back into the shelf system

And the finished product!
